SRMC Advanced Wound Center receives Center of Distinction Award

Etowah, TN (June 16, 2017) The Advanced Wound Center and Hyperbarics at Starr Regional Medical Center has been recognized with a national award for clinical excellence.

Leaders, physicians and clinicians from Starr Regional gathered last Thursday to celebrate the Center of Distinction award, which was given to the Advanced Wound Center by Healogics, the nation’s leading and largest wound care management company.

Starr Regional’s Wound Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months in 2016, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a wound healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 31 median days. Out of 630 Centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award, 334 achieved this honor in 2017.
