Starr Regional Medical Center Welcomes First Baby of 2020
January 06, 2020Starr Regional is ringing in 2020 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 5 pounds and 4 ounces and measuring 19 inches, Mary Radner was born to Ashton and Erick, Thursday, January 2, at 5:08 p.m.
“We are so excited to meet our new baby girl!” said Ashton. “The physicians, nurses and staff at Starr Regional all helped to make this such a special and memorable experience for us, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care our family received.”
Starr Regional Medical Center’s Center for Women and Babies is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents in the region. The Center offers tours to expecting parents, care provided by a team of maternity professionals, including obstetrician-gynecologists and pediatricians, renovated patient rooms, childbirth and parenting classes, as well as breastfeeding classes.
“It is our privilege to provide a safe, comforting and welcoming environment for our newest and littlest community members,” said Lisa Kinard, Director of Women’s Services at Starr Regional Medical Center. “Our team of expert clinical and support staff are dedicated to ensuring that every patient and his or her family have a positive experience during this special time.”
In celebration of being the first baby born in 2020 at Starr Regional,
the family was presented with a quilt made by members of the Heritage
Quilt Guild and gifts from Starr Regional Medical Center as well as local
businesses, including a gift certificate from Domino’s Pizza of Athens;
printed and framed 11x14 image from Fuller’s Frame Shop, Print Studio & Art Gallery; swaddle and teething bib from Greeks Bearing Gifts;
newborn photo session with Hometown Photography by Renee Nicolo; a book from Imagination Library; infant gown from Sweet & Sassy Too; and a footprint stamp gift set from White Street Market.
