Katherine Hall, MD, FAAFP, Named President of Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians

Starr Regional Medical Center announced today that Katherine Hall, MD, FAAFP, a board-certified family medicine physician, has been named President of the Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians (TNAFP) during the organization’s annual conference held October 22 – 25, 2025, in Franklin, Tennessee.

In her new role, Dr. Hall will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors and lead the Executive Committee, helping guide the Academy’s strategic direction and support its mission to advance family medicine across the state. Her appointment reflects years of dedicated service, including two years as president-elect and numerous leadership and speaking roles within the organization.

Dr. Hall has been a trusted provider in McMinn County and surrounding communities since 2015. She is known for her compassionate care and commitment to improving the health and well-being of her patients at Athens Family Practice and Starr Regional Medical Center’s Advanced Wound Care Center, where she serves as medical director. Dr. Hall completed her family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and earned her medical degree with honors from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine.
